October 16 – 18, 2017 (Monday – Wednesday) | 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
TaradenArts in North Bennington will be hosting a 3-day workshop entitled:
Sculptural Elements 2017 with Elaine Franz Witten
This workshop will teach students the artistic elements of sculpture. The goal will be for each student to build with plumbing parts and wire an armature for either a standing animal (Approximately 9″ at the shoulder and 15″-16″ long) or standing figure (approximately 15″-16″ tall) and in the process learn a system of armature building that can be adapted for any subject, any size.
Following the building of an armature we will work in oil-based clay to construct the animal or figure ready for casting. Advanced students may be working on other projects. Beginners are always welcome.
Participant Fee: $300 for 3 days or $100/day if unable to attend 3 days.
Minimum 6 students/Maximum 12
Registration and payment is due no later than October 1, 2017 and will be through TaradenArts.
